By using our veterinary services, scheduling appointments, or accessing our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Veterinary Services
Scope of Services
We provide veterinary medical services including but not limited to:
- -Wellness examinations and preventive care
- -Vaccinations and parasite prevention
- -Diagnostic testing and imaging
- -Surgical procedures
- -Dental care
- -Grooming services
3. Client Responsibilities
As a client of Paws & Claws Veterinary Clinic, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your pet's health history
- Inform us of any changes in your pet's condition or behavior
- Follow treatment recommendations and medication instructions
- Keep your pet properly restrained during visits
- Maintain current vaccinations as required by law
- Arrive on time for scheduled appointments
- Provide 24-hour notice for appointment cancellations
- Pay for services rendered at time of service
4. Appointment Policy
Scheduling
Appointments can be made by phone, online, or in person. We recommend scheduling wellness exams in advance.
Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours notice. Repeated no-shows may result in a cancellation fee or require prepayment.
Late Arrivals
Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled to ensure quality care for all patients.
Emergencies
Emergency cases are seen as quickly as possible and may cause delays for scheduled appointments.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept:
- -Cash, checks, and all major credit cards
- -CareCredit and Scratchpay financing
- -Pet insurance (client-paid with reimbursement)
For surgical procedures and extensive treatments, a deposit may be required. Returned checks will incur a $35 fee.
6. Medical Records
Medical records are the property of Paws & Claws Veterinary Clinic. Copies may be requested and provided upon written authorization. A reasonable fee may apply for record copying. We retain records as required by state veterinary board regulations.
7. Consent for Treatment
By presenting your pet for examination or treatment, you authorize our veterinary team to perform necessary diagnostic procedures and treatments. For surgical procedures and certain treatments, additional written consent may be required. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before proceeding with unexpected treatments, but emergency situations may require immediate action.
8. Limitations of Liability
While we strive to provide the highest quality care, veterinary medicine involves inherent risks. We are not liable for unforeseen complications, adverse reactions, or outcomes that occur despite appropriate care. Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We do not guarantee specific outcomes of any treatment or procedure.
9. Pet Behavior and Safety
For the safety of our staff and other patients, all pets must be properly restrained. Dogs should be on leashes, and cats should be in carriers. If your pet has a history of aggressive behavior, please inform us in advance. We reserve the right to use muzzles, sedation, or decline service for aggressive animals to protect our staff.
10. Abandoned Animals
Pets not picked up within 10 days of scheduled release, without contact from the owner, may be considered abandoned under state law. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before taking any action. Abandoned animals may be surrendered to local animal control or rescue organizations.
11. Website Use
Our website is provided for informational purposes only. Content on our website does not constitute veterinary advice and should not replace consultation with a veterinarian. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that information is current or error-free.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which our clinic is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
